Our Services
At Altrus, we provide a comprehensive group of residential services to individuals in the community. We serve all income levels and all populations – the frail elderly, mentally ill, and developmentally disabled.
Each of our residential settings provides a family atmosphere and quality living conditions for you or your loved ones. Our services include the following:
- Assistance with personal care home or host home placement appropriate to the needs and location of the individual.
- 24-hour supervision and management.
- Assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Three home cooked meals and snacks daily, served family style.
- Assistance with medication management.
- Health monitored by a registered nurse.
- Social worker available on staff.
- Housekeeping and laundry services.
Our payment options include the following:

- Medicaid Eligible
- Host Homes/DD Program
- COMP Waiver
- SOURCE Program
- Community Care Services Program (CCSP)
- VA Aid and Attendance Program
Our community-based services delay or avert more costly nursing home and institutional placement and, through Georgia’s Medicaid waiver programs, provide low income Georgians with the opportunity to receive quality personal care home and host home placement. This allows people to remain in the community longer and results in a better quality of life than premature institutionalization.
